Fighter or Quitter?

Did you know that most people QUIT their New Year’s resolutions after 8 DAYS!  Are you a quitter or a fighter?  A friend of mine says “I don’t make resolutions!  I manifest.”

how to be successful

The whole trick is to pick one NEW little thing you can do everyday that turns into a healthy habit and gets you closer and closer to what you want to have, do or be.  Whether it’s giving up that teaspoon of sugar in your morning coffee or tea, taking the stairs instead of being ‘lifted’ those five flights or giving meditation a dedicated 5 minutes a morning or night, it’s the consistency that counts.

“It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives. It’s what we do consistently.”

― Anthony Robbins

Consistency does require one to take on the strength to break away from old  ‘familiars’ , automatic patterns that formed one’s comfort zone.  It takes strength and will power to keep consistently moving towards a new norm and goal.

Even if you say to yourself, “I’ll just do it for today and I will worry about tomorrow tomorrow.”  Then you get up that next day and do the same thing.  The funny thing is that when you consciously go to do that one NEW thing that morning, you have a chance to breath gratitude and praise into the process.  Be sure to commend yourself and be thankful for the ability to make changes.  Tell yourself that this is the start of your new life, the life you always wanted and even if you can’t see the whole beach in front of you, know that one huge grain of sand you added to the pile is how one is formed.  Step by steady step.

“Success is neither magical nor mysterious. Success is the natural consequence of consistently applying basic fundamentals.”
― Jim Rohn
